Privacy Policy

The short version. B3TRLIFE collects only what the app needs to work for you: your name, email, and the supplements you track. Apple Health data, when you connect it, is read only and stays on your device — we never receive it on our servers. We never sell your information to anyone. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app, or by emailing privacy@b3trlife.com.

1. Who we are

B3TRLIFE (the “app”) is built and operated by Hummingbird Digital Media LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), an Idaho limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you use B3TRLIFE, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information under laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we collect

We collect only the data necessary to run the core features of B3TRLIFE. You can use the app in Guest Mode with data stored only on your device — in that case, nothing is sent to our servers at all.

Account data
Your name and email address (when you sign in with Apple or email).
Supplement data
The supplements you add to your schedule, doses taken, streaks, goals, journal entries, and notes you write.
Apple Health data
If you connect Apple Health, we read sleep, step count, and resting heart rate. This data is processed on your device only — see Section 3.
Voice data
If you talk to Luna, your spoken audio is processed in real time to power the conversation and is not stored by us afterward — see Section 6.
Usage data
Badges earned, Sanctuary sessions played, XP, and other progress metrics used for gamification.
Device data
Standard technical information (operating system, app version, crash logs) used to keep the app stable.
Photos (optional)
If you use the supplement label scanner, a single photo of the label is sent for on-demand analysis and is not stored afterward.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

B3TRLIFE can connect to Apple Health to help Luna find patterns between your supplements and how you feel. With your explicit permission, we read the following categories:

Read only. On device. Never sold or shared.

Our access to Apple Health is read only — B3TRLIFE never writes to Apple Health. Health data read from your device is used only on your device to display your stats and to compute your personal supplement-and-wellness patterns. We do not transmit your Apple Health data to our servers, we do not sell it, we do not share it with any third party, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing. You can revoke this access at any time in the iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health screen, and you can disconnect inside the app.

4. How we store your data

Signed-in users’ account and supplement data is stored in Supabase, a managed database service operated by Supabase Inc., with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Every account is protected by row-level security so you can only access your own records.

When you use Guest Mode, your data is kept locally on your device only and never leaves your phone.

5. Sign in with Apple

When you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name and a verified email address (either your real email or a private relay address). We use this only to create and secure your B3TRLIFE account. We never receive your Apple ID or password.

6. Third-party service providers

We do not sell your data. We share limited data only with the service providers that make B3TRLIFE work, each acting on our instructions under their own privacy and security commitments:

Supabase
Database hosting and account authentication for signed-in users.
Anthropic
Powers Luna’s AI chat and the label scanner. The relevant prompt or image is sent through our own secure backend; prompts and images are not retained after your request completes.
ElevenLabs
Powers Luna’s real-time voice. Your spoken audio and Luna’s responses are processed to enable the conversation; we do not retain your voice recordings afterward.
OpenAI
Transcribes voice input to text (speech-to-text) so the app can understand what you say. Audio is processed for transcription only.
RevenueCat
Manages subscriptions and in-app purchases, and tells the app your current entitlement status. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
Amazon
Provides product information and affiliate links shown in Shop and the Encyclopedia. See Section 7.
Apple
Account authentication (Sign in with Apple) and push notification delivery.

We may also disclose data when required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to prevent fraud or harm.

7. Amazon affiliate links

B3TRLIFE’s Shop and Encyclopedia screens include affiliate links to Amazon products under the tag b3trlife-20. If you buy a product after tapping one of these links, Amazon pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Tapping a link opens Amazon’s website or app; at that point you are subject to Amazon’s own privacy policy. We do not see your Amazon account information or purchase history.

8. How we use your data

We do not use your health, supplement, or voice data for advertising, and we do not perform automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can exercise the rights below by emailing privacy@b3trlife.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Access and portability

You can view your data inside the app at any time, and request a machine-readable export.

Deletion

You can delete your B3TRLIFE account and all associated data directly from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. You may also request deletion by emailing privacy@b3trlife.com.

Correction

You can edit your name, goals, and schedule inside the app at any time, or ask us to correct your data.

Opt-out of notifications

Turn off any category of notification from Profile → Settings → Notifications.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months.

EU/UK residents (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (to provide the app you signed up for), consent (for optional features such as Apple Health, voice, notifications, and the label scanner, which you can withdraw at any time), and our legitimate interests (to keep the app secure and stable). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated records are removed from our database within 30 days. Anonymous crash diagnostics may be retained for up to 90 days for debugging, with no link back to your identity. Apple Health data is never retained by us because it never leaves your device.

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, row-level security on every database row, and server-side secrets management for third-party API keys. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your device up to date.

12. Children’s privacy

B3TRLIFE is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete that information promptly.

13. Medical disclaimer

B3TRLIFE is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The app, Luna, and any patterns, insights, or product information are for general wellness and educational purposes only, and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any supplement, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read or saw in B3TRLIFE.

14. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal data out of the EU/UK.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or in the law. If the changes are material, we will notify you inside the app before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the most recent version.
